Hi Everybody,
Finding ways to bring a continuous flow of traffic to your site is a key element in succeeding with any online business. A great way to attract this kind of targeted traffic is to optimize your site so that search engines will place you high in the search results. Unfortunately, instead of working on legitimate tactics to appeal to search engines, some Internet marketers aim at fooling them. When this happens, Google and other major search engines tend to ban websites using less ethical tactics. Yet there are some webmasters who aren't aware that the tactics they're using are unethical. In both the scenarios, it's the lack of knowledge that pushes them to take bad steps. If you hope to succeed with proper SEO tactics, you'll need to know which ones to avoid. This article will look at some of the SEO mistakes you should keep in mind when you're optimizing your own site.

On-page SEO is the most common mistake that webmasters and new internet marketers make. For something that people have complete control over; it's shocking that so many neglect it. On-page SEO is nothing more than the way you decide to structure your site and its content. All of this may sound daunting but it's not, on-site optimization is very simple and basically boils down to putting things in a logical order, and with the proper words attached. Including your main keywords in each element will make your site more search engine friendly. Don't skip over this part of SEO. Your competition will be using these basic techniques so you should take it a step further. Don't make the mistake of stealing the content from other websites, it's not ethical. Copying content that belongs to someone else won't take you anywhere. While nobody may notice at first, people will soon recognize that you've stolen the content you're using. And the biggest downside to it is that the search engines have gone smart and they know the difference between original content and the duplicate one. There's a filter that's saved for duplicated content and if your website gets trapped in there, it won't do a thing for your site's ranking. Therefore, put in the effort to create unique content that's not only appealing to the visitors but also to the search engines.

Many people either forget or don't know that there content must be formatted in such a way for the search engines to find it relevant. Your website might be able to win a design award but no one will really be able to visit it unless you add search engine friendly content to your site. You should learn to create content for SEO correctly because it counts. The norm is to include 3-5 keywords with every 100 words of content and each piece of content shouldn't be less than 300 words long. Adding your keyword to the title of your content will help with your ranking. Be careful not to include a large amount of keywords in anything you publish.
