Some will expect to get their result almost immediately, a few will come with strange ideas, or else they just pay and don't care what optimizers will do. Also a plenty of them wanted to hire optimizers as cheap as possible. If this is what they want, consider pointing them to other SEOs who are able to work with them or raise your service fee to a much higher price on the firsthand.

As a client, try to realize that SEO may rank up your site along with good search engine listing and higher incoming traffic, but time is also a concern. Not every goal you set can be achieved, some probably take months or years to accomplish. The idea of SEO and how they work has been properly planned, don't ever aim for unreasonable desires. Understand well that clients need to be sensible and ready to receive different ideas from any discussion, while optimizers do not need to ask for such head aching tasks.
