Hi,
SEO seems simple on the surface but there are many things that you may be unaware of. But the fact remains that no matter what niche your business is in, you will need SEO to get targeted traffic to your website. From looking for solutions to their problems to finding reviews on products, people turn to the internet as a shopping resource. There are millions of searches done per day so the higher your site ranks for a high volume keyword the more traffic you will receive. A good search engine optimizer is worth his weight in gold; both as an internet marketer and as a consultant. One of the best ways to succeed with SEO is to learn what not to do. Remember that SEO doesn't have any short cuts and if you do see any, then they won't last long and you'll ultimately get de-indexed.

Graphics and images are a good way to give your site instant appeal, but be careful about putting too many on your site or you'll be damaging your SEO efforts. You could actually lower your search engine rankings by having too many images and not enough room for search engine friendly content. The text that appears on images is not like the plain text you have on your pages. Search engines aren't able to read images, so if your navigation links to other pages in your site are written on images, they're useless for SEO purposes. If you do use graphics, be sure to put your chosen keywords within the ALT attribute for each image. Search engines are able to read your ALT attributes, so having your keywords in there can assist your ranking in the long run.

If you don't perform your keyword research correctly then your entire campaign will be worthless. Basically, with the wrong list of keywords, no matter how great you are ranking, you won't make any money. The traffic you get isn't much targeted, which means it doesn't convert and give results. Your focus should be on keywords that are popular among searchers. Keywords are how people search and how the search engine determines which sites to show in the results, so they should be one of your main priorities. Once you have found some high volume keywords you can start planning your site structure and themes. Keyword research isn't hard but can be time-consuming, however; it is necessary.

When adding content to your site you must please both the readers and the search engine. Webmasters put in the effort to create a masterpiece out of their site but in this process they forget to add relevant content to their site. Bad content will not rank well in the major search engines. The norm is to include 3-5 keywords with every 100 words of content and each piece of content shouldn't be less than 300 words long. Adding your keyword to the title of your content will help with your ranking. Too many keywords in your content will get your site penalized. In conclusion, successful SEO is a combination of multiple elements. While so-called 'blackhat' tactics might promise you instant results for improving your search engine rankings, they're not considered long-term methods that you can count on. Focus on the more reliable Whitehat SEO methods that will bring you targeted traffic and improved search engine results for the long term and won't get you banned.
