Hi,
On Facebook fans, "Profiles" are strictly for people. Facebook fans Rules require that you register your profile in their own name. If you use your company name or a book, you risk having your account canceled.

A Facebook "Fan Page" or "page" is designed for business use and is a good way to promote your book. You can set up a fan page for your business, book, or even a character in his book, and you can create multiple pages. Here are a few advantages over the pages with personal profiles.

Using Facebook fans applications like "Static FBML", you can create custom tabs on their Facebook fan page containing graphics, text, videos and even exclusion on ways to promote your book.

You can specify the tab for the page you want new visitors to land.

Facebook fans users join a page by clicking the "Become a Fan" and there is no limit on the number of fans can join.

You can send messages to all their fans, shown in their news feed.

Pages indexed by search engines and each tab page has its own URL.

Click here to create a fan page. Here are some ways to promote your book building traffic to your fan page:

Once your site has at least 25 followers, go to login page to create a custom URL for your page.

Below the photo or image on your page, click "Suggest to friends" to send invitations to Facebook friends to join your page. The invitation box will appear on your friends.

Write an article of your blog and newsletter inviting people to join your page.

Invite people to join your site by posting updates on Twitter, Facebook personal profile, and other social networks.

To encourage users to join their Facebook fans page, active in publishing on the page, hold lively conversations, and offer some benefits and incentives to become a fan. Although the promotion is allowed, you still have to be something subtle and provide value to their fans rather than a sales pitch.
