Both do follow and no follow links are important in the search engine optimization. A no follow link is a HTML attribute value that is used to give instructions to the search engine that the hyperlink is not supposed to influence the link target's ranking in the search engine's index. It is intended to reduce the effectiveness of certain types of search engine spam, thereby improving the quality of search results and preventing spam indexing from occurring in the first place.

In most situations both links are equally important to the ranking of any website. The former helps the visitors to your site easily get to your site. To many, the difference is very insignificant while to others it is very important.
