Bounce rate of my site is high Empty Bounce rate of my site is high

One of my client's site is having a high bounce rate. I am working with proper keywords and have content relevant to the keywords targeted. Even though the bounce rate is high. Are there any other factors to be considered to lower the bounce rate?
