Hi,
Website design is difficult thing to get right as your design must be eye catching enough to get the user attention without confusing the user with too many images or adverts. This is important as you want to engage the users while still making for a functional site.

Also, it is important to make sure that your website navigation is easy to use so the visitor can navigate around the website quickly and easily. A good, easy to use navigation system is important as the common feeling among internet users is that you have 10 seconds to impress a visitor to your website before they leave. If the user cannot find the information they are looking for they will become frustrated with your website quickly and leave without contacting you or making a purchase. As well as making your site easy to navigate it is also important that that you keep the user’s attention by making your website engaging with interactive features such as social media button and competitions.

You need to make sure that your website has clear call to actions as those using it need to be encouraged to interact. Although it is important to make sure that your website is user friendly it is also important to make sure that your website is built with search engine optimisation in mind. This involves making sure that you change all the title tags on your website as these are a very important ranking when Google crawls your company’s website. It is also important that you ensure that duplicated pages are not created via page pagination or being able to access a product via number of different URL strings.

A lot of the issues a website develops are at the point of build, as the frame work of the website is first put together. As result if a lot of the issues are not resolve at the design stage it can be costly lately on in the design process. This is why it is important when your website is designed to keep in mind the following key areas; design, inactivity, search engine optimisation and call to action. All these points need to work together to ensure that website is seen and used throughout the order progress. Also another key point when you are having your website built ensure that you own the code of your website as this could be difficult if you need to move developer or your relationship brakes down as you will need to pay for the site again.
