1. Look of the layout :
The content in the layout should be presented in a hierarchical manner. The most important things that you want the visitor to see should be placed at the top of the page and in big fonts so that it is easily visible and readable. People usually tend to see big thing first. The content of lesser importance should be placed lower in the page and in smaller font size.

2. Unique Design :
A single page website can be quite unique provided the designer knows the ways to make it look unique. The background of various sections can be changed. One can get an illustrated background too by using any picture that spreads throughout in the background. The single page website can be made appealing and unique through adding visuals and animations.

3. Linking :
Having links on your website that directly open other pages is not a big problem unless you have mentioned about it on the page. It should not be such that the visitor does not know the effect of clicking on the link and the link directly opens a page that surprises or even irritates the visitor. In a single page website the effect of the link should always be mentioned.

4. Hit the Bulls Eye :
In case of a single page website there is no scope for beating about the bush or flowery language. There is no other alternative other than presenting to the point information. When you have just a single page you may feel that there is a lot of content to be pushed into it, but get rid of all the information that is not necessary. This will help the visitor to be focused on the matter that you want him/her to focus upon.

Coding is of much relevance in case of single page website. The coding of the website should be such that the visitor feels comfortable on visiting the website.
