Enabling Automatic Logon In Windows XP Pro
For those out there that want to disable the "insert password" feature during logon in XP Pro, I will show you how to do the correct way.BY doing this, you don't have to wait in front of your computer to insert the password to logon the windows. We are going to set the windows to automatically logon.
But, it is not recommended to use this feature if your computer is used by different people that everyone has its own account.
OK, enough for the info. Now let's get started.
First, Click Start -> Run. Then type in "control userpasswords2"and click OK.
User Account windows popup will appear. In the "User" tab, you MUST uncheck the "User must enter username and password to use the computer". Click OK button.
Another popup called "Automatically Logon" will appear. Type in your username and password on the right boxes. Then click OK.
You are DONE !!!! Quite easy isn't it ...
