The Primary Sources Of Paid Traffic Empty The Primary Sources Of Paid Traffic

Post  royal Tue Oct 04, 2011 5:12 am

Hi,
Following are some of the primary sources of paid traffic :

1. Media Buys:

Media buying is all about knowing your target audience and knowing where to find them. Most people use media buying to buy banner space on websites. Although AdWords allows you to purchase banners on its AdSense network, there are literally thousands of other alternatives available such as ad networks, social networks, co-registration offers, or my all-time favorite - direct buys. With direct buys, you can find high traffic websites in your niche and choose which ones you want to advertise on. Not only are they cheaper than other outlets, but you can zero in on your target audience to maximize your conversions.

2. PPC Advertising:

This is by far the most targeted traffic because it comes from highly relevant searches. People are actually searching for what you're offering. Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and Facebook are the top three pay per click programs out there that allow you to buy advertising space based on a list of keywords. You have considerable amount of control over the traffic that is delivered to you through PPC, which is really nice because you can constantly tweak your campaigns to increase your ROI.

3. CPV Traffic:

CPV stands for "cost per view" and although it is fairly cheap, it can be one of the most difficult paid traffic sources to get a decent return on. With CPV there aren't as many targeting options available as other forms of paid traffic and you usually have to pay per impression as opposed to a CPM (cost per thousand) basis. The traffic is usually delivered as full page ads (pop-unders or pop-overs) to users who have agreed to receive it, usually by installing 3rd party software on their computer, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Despite all of this, CPV traffic is also relatively new and there is almost no competition, so it's something that you should definitely look into.

4. Mobile Advertising:

Mobile marketing has become the latest trend in advertising since users are spending more and more time surfing the net on their phones. If you're interested in giving mobile marketing a shot, you should check out Google's AdMob Network. It is the biggest mobile advertising source yet and as you can tell by the name, it is going to be really big in the near future. If you run an offline business, you can even check out text message marketing, which has a higher response rate than email.
