What is the Google Traffic Estimator Tool?
Hi,
Most of Google's revenue is generated through its Google Adsense program, that places relevant ads on websites submitted to it. The Google AdWords program helps businesses put up advertisements by relevance on these websites. Advertisers must bid on 'keywords', for their ads to be placed in relation to specific ones. These ads may appear on websites that have content related to the chosen keyword or they are placed around Google search results related to it.
With an effort to provide advertisers and websites, with web traffic data, Google has provided its Keywords tool and Traffic Estimator, which provides relevant data about keywords that are being searched worldwide on its search engine interface.
The Google Traffic estimator, as a part of the AdWords online help, provides details about global and local (US) traffic details related to any keyword which an advertiser may be interested in. It also provides information about the average CPC (cost per click) in dollars, number of daily clicks for ads related to the keyword and the estimated daily cost.
The Google Traffic Estimator accuracy has been under the scanner for quite a while now. It provides approximate data which is aimed at giving you a rough idea of what revenue potential a certain keyword has, according to current search engine traffic results. The key fact to note is that the information is approximate and should not be taken to be exact.

Google Tools
Hi
Google Keyword Tool and Traffic Estimator, both are quite good.
They both helps in selecting the right keyword for the optimization process.
Because unless we don't get to know the right keyword to promote, we can waste our efforts in the direction, so it is very necessary to check the keywords before starting any project for SEO.
Thanks
