Websites That Don't Work in Any Browser :
Designing or creating a site that works for only one browser is a very bad decision. People use different browsers that they are conformable with. If you insist on creating a site that works only for one browser, then you are limiting the market share in great deal.

Using Cutting Edge Technology :
People often get the wrong idea that a site made with a cutting edge technology will solve any problem. Yes and no. It can be very tempting to create site with the latest technology but if you put something that is not supported by all the browsers then you would be putting your website in a great risk of losing your customers rather than pleasing them. Just make sure you make a site that is simple and user friendly.

Hidden Navigation :
Some web designers have a very strange relationship with the website navigation. Sometimes you will find them at a very strange place either at the bottom or being disguise as an image map. This can seriously annoy the visitors. Your websites navigation must not be too difficult for your visitors. It must be easy to find and point your visitors to the way they want to go.

Flash :
Flash is great, but if 100% of your Web content is flash and don't have any text alternatives then there is a great risk of losing readers. With flash there are many usability issues and one is that it is not accessible. Even the use of Flash navigation is a suicide mission as most people dont find it easy to use.

Same meta information for all pages :
This is a mistake often found in hundreds of websites. Majority of websites use the same meta information for all their web pages. Search engines would be ignoring those pages and you wont be getting any good favor from the search engines. You must create custom descriptions for each web page.

Out-of date content :
Users and search engines love fresh content and if your content is not updated frequently, people and the search engines will start to lose interest in your website.
